The Artistic Journey: Painting as a Hobby

In the realm of artistic self-expression, painting emerges as a profound and enduring art form. The combination of a brush in hand and a blank canvas awaiting transformation presents limitless possibilities. As a leisure pursuit, painting not only serves as a creative outlet but also facilitates self-discovery and personal development. In my perspective, painting is an attainable endeavor for individuals of all skill levels, whether they be professionals or beginners. Throughout my artistic journey, painting has provided an avenue for exploring my imagination, conveying my emotions, and seeking solace in the realm of colors. Thus, I eagerly embark on an enchanting exploration of painting as a leisure activity.

 

Painting enables me to embrace and celebrate my innate creativity, infusing my existence.  Whether I am painting a landscape or a lifelike portrait, the blank canvas serves as a portal to boundless prospects. Engaging in painting as a hobby ignites my passion for experiment, facilitating the exploration of various techniques, and artistic boundaries. Painting is my hobby and it provides me with a unique opportunity to explore and express feelings that are often hidden deep inside of me. Textures, colors, and shapes become instruments for expressing feelings that cannot be expressed in words. Consequently, engaging in painting as a leisure pursuit is not solely concerned with the creation of aesthetically pleasing works of art; rather, it represents an ongoing journey of knowledge acquisition, personal growth, and artistic refinement.

Reflecting on the Presentation

 

Today I did a presentation on Dueza festival. Overall, I think it went pretty well. I spent a lot of time preparing and making sure I understood the topic. This helped me feel more confident when speaking in front of the class. I made a strong first impression by discussing the previous slide that another friend had presented. I remained composed throughout the entire presentation by getting off to a good start. But I believe there were times when I could have performed much better. As I was talking about the significance of celebrating the festival, I became a little quieter toward the middle because I couldn't come up with the correct sentence. Therefore, in the future I will pay more attention to my vocabulary.

Our group produced a simple yet useful visual aid. We had clear slides with festival-related pictures on them. This supported the verbal explanations we were giving. Next time I am going to consider including a quick video clip to add an extra dimension. I'm happy that we were able to answer all of the questions from our tutor and classmates at the end. This showed we really knew the information about this particular festival. Though one question threw us off for a moment, we collected our thoughts and provided a satisfactory response.

 

Overall, I accomplished my goal of informing my peers about this important topic. With a little improvement, I think my next presentation could be even better. The more I practice public speaking, the more comfortable I will become. I'm proud of the effort I put into this presentation and am excited to apply what I learned to future projects.

How Education Transformed My Life and Unleashed My Full Potential

My life has been significantly shaped by my education. I was urged to focus on my education and seek out knowledge from an early age. I went to a reputable school where I could get a good education from qualified teachers. I studied a variety of courses during my scholastic career, including math, physics, literature, and history. I have a strong foundation of knowledge and skills thanks to education, and these have helped me flourish both personally and professionally. It has aided me in cultivating my capacity for critical thought, my ability to solve problems, and my desire to study. The best  part is through education I have encountered many great teachers among which Mr. Namkha Wangdi, my geography teacher, has had a great impact on me. My viewpoints have also been extended by him. He exposed me to various cultures, concepts, and ideals. I've learned how to think for myself and critically analyze my surroundings thanks to him. Overall, education has improved my life for the better. It has given me access to a wide range of opportunities and given me the freedom to follow my passions. But there have been difficulties along the road. Stress and anxiety were occasionally caused by the pressure to achieve well academically. Additionally, the education system's rigid framework hindered creativity and distinction. I have highlighted areas for improvement in the following sessions of learning after considering my educational background. The first thing I want to do is keep a good balance between my personal wellbeing and academic performance. This entails controlling stress and figuring out how to unwind and recharge. Second, I want to look for chances for creative discovery and expression outside of the conventional classroom. And finally, I will continue to foster a lifetime passion of learning by seeking out knowledge outside the realm of official education.

With its user-friendly-interface telegram is currently preferred by students for facilitating learning. Ceci(2023) states that 8.7 percent of the global population uses telegrams. With the rampant use of telegram, it has provided platforms for learning and enhancement in student’s interaction. While telegram provides benefits, it has a potential for destruction to the students. 

College Chronicles: Let's Dive Into The Exciting World Of Campus Life

Attending college is a unique and life-changing experience. It's a time for growth, self-awareness, and opportunity. Looking back, I can say that my stay in college is both challenging and fun. One of the most obvious aspects of college life is the independence it offers. When it comes to choosing courses, making timetables, and pursuing extracurricular activities, college provides greater flexibility than high school, which follows a set curriculum. My independence has taught me a lot about accountability and time management.  I have had the good fortune to meet people in college who come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. My interactions with people who hold a variety of perspectives have widened my horizons and improved my comprehension of the world. I am now developing a better understanding of the importance of compassion, comprehension, and an open mind. College life is nothing without its share of hardships. Maintaining a balance between your social life, extracurricular activities, and assignments may be challenging. However, these challenges have given me fortitude, determination, and an appreciation for the importance of self-care. I have gained knowledge on how to prioritize my tasks, seek assistance when I need it, and manage work and leisure. Overall, attending college has been a life-changing experience filled with both highs and lows. It has aided in my personal development, imparted valuable life lessons, and established a strong basis for my goals in the future. I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that college has given me, and I can't wait to put the information and abilities I have gained to use in the next stage of my life.

Those Who Sweats Together Stays Together

 

Let me to share with you my memories of the Dessung training . Prior to sharing my story, let me  briefly talk about Dessung. Suung denotes an act of protection, and de-implies peace. The meaning of the term "Dessung" is "Guardians of Peace". In the nation, there are 39318 trained dessup. His Majesty the King has aspirations for the Dessung project. After giving you a little background, allow me to share my personal Dessung training experience. Training at Dessung must be enrolled through online registration, with a first-come, first-served basis. Since the training was very different from a typical one, we had medical examinations to assess our health, and several of us had to withdraw because of the results. On the other hand, it appears that I was really fortunate to be chosen for the program after being accepted during the online registration process and receiving a positive report from my medical examination. My training took place in Pelrithang and lasted for three and a half months. Despite the fact that the training was difficult, I became stronger both mentally and physically as the days went by. Even though I was physically strong before the training, I lacked mental toughness. However, the dessup training strengthened my mental toughness to the point that I could hear real rifle fire with bravery. I received training in a wide range of subjects, including military terminology, drill, weapon handling, and physical fitness. I experienced several thrilling adventures, including river crossings, patrolling, rappelling, and jungle survival. I received meticulous training equivalent to that of a military trannie in every area. Even if one person makes a mistake, the whole company will receive severe punishment because the regulations were so rigorous. Days became weeks, and weeks became months, and it was difficult for us to depart. But all of the pain I went through was worth. I can't claim to have learnt everything, but I can say that perhaps god gave me this chance to learn how challenging a military career can be and what we seem to be easy is actually not easy. 

 

My Academic Journey

 

Academic skills are the abilities, strategies and habits that can help learners succeed in an academic setting (Japan's Recruit Co. Ltd, 2004). Academic skills includes reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking. Within a month the tutor presented on academic integrity, academic writing, and note taking skills. The students were given group work, exercise, and quiz where the classes were interactively conducted. The first topic to introduce in the module was an academic integrity. During the session of academic integrity, the tutor presented on definition, types of academic dishonesty, and technique to acknowledge others' work. Till date I have been copying the information from the internet without having knowledge on plagiarism but, after learning academic integrity I knew it is an act of plagiarism. However, measures such as acknowledging or giving credit for other’s work can be taken to interpret the problem of plagiarism.

 

After the first topic, the tutor presented on note taking skills. There are two ways of note taking which includes outlining and mind maps. Mind maps which are also known as brain patterns support in portraying the idea into a diagram and I learned that usage of colors and images can stimulate the mind and prolong the memory. Mind maps could be convenient for revision. Outlining can be another measure of note taking and it consists of taking notes by organizing ideas into topics and sub topics. Such a method can be considered to maintain notes on lectures. Next to note taking skills, the tutor introduced academic writing. Academic writing is writing produced by scholars through structured research and it includes academic essay, reports, theses, exam responses, and research papers. Though academic integrity and note taking skills were uncomplicated as I am familiar with it however,   academic writing was tough to understand. The features such as formality, structure, logic, evidence, objective, and precision must be taken into account while writing academic writing. Therefore, constant practice could improve my writing skills.
